All covered with cheese - Despite being so diligent about the food that went into my body and the exercise I did each day, I've found many excuses to allow the "old" habits to creep back into my life.

Summer is a busy time of year, and I have really got to thank everyone who keeps my phone ringing. I've been saying that I feel like that little song "On top of spaghetti" who doesn't love that song! And talk about the visuals, "I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneezed" I've been trying to keep all my meatballs on the plate. (stay with me, it's a metaphor) Everyone laughs when I run through that, but it's true. We did a walk on the Marshall Mesa Trail today, and it felt so great to be moving again! I've managed to keep at least 2 cardio dates (my cycling classes at Mountain's Edge) but the lifting, swimming, and outdoor riding has taken a backseat to my workload.

Time to shift the focus - HA, I'm really on a roll here
Get back on the path, and keep on walking.
Just like my dad said, one foot in front of the other.

What more reason do you need? - I really love my work. Sometimes, it is difficult for me ever "think inside of the box, or put the camera down." Sarah gives the best little kid hugs! You know the kind, where the kid see you, their little face lights up and they run and jump into your arms, then they squeeze you as tight as they can. This is one of the biggest perks of my "job" other places might give a Holiday bonus, vacation time, or have the sleekest new Italian Espresso machine in the kitchen.. I get great big hugs, smiles, giggles and sometimes, even a piece of art to take home for my fridge.

If you want a lollipop, you've got to race! - That was one of the funniest things I heard at yesterday's 5430 Kids Triathlon. I was at the Rez to photograph Sarah's 3rd Triathlon (not bad for a 5 yr old) She was so excited to be there, got a great spot in the transition zone, and the best part is that I got to be there to photograph all of it. Here are a few photos.
